Customer information

Ngroups.NET, a service of @Space Enterprises, LLC, collects information when you create an account, purchase access, or contact support. This includes the account and contact details you provide and information needed to deliver your service and resolve support requests.

We treat customer information as confidential. We do not sell or rent customer lists or other customer information.

Account and payment information

We use account information to authenticate you, provide access, manage purchases and subscriptions, and respond to requests. Account records include service credentials, access status, purchase references, and information needed to manage your subscription or remaining block balance.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Ngroups does not store your full credit card details. The payment processor may retain payment information to complete transactions and recurring payments. We retain the customer, purchase, subscription, and billing references needed to manage your service.

Usenet usage information

We monitor servers as necessary to maintain the service. We do not monitor or record which newsgroups you post to or download from, or the contents of articles you post or download.

Account and connection information used to operate the service, including usage totals needed to account for download allowances, is distinct from the contents of articles. The policy on Usenet article activity does not mean that account, payment, support, or website records are absent.

Website cookies and analytics

The website uses cookies and browser storage for functions such as sign-in and session management. Blocking or deleting them may prevent account features from working.

We use PostHog for website analytics. Page visits and website interactions can be recorded. When you sign in, analytics may be associated with your account identifier, name, and email address. Website analytics are separate from the contents of your Usenet downloads and posts.

Service providers

We use providers to operate account services, process payments, deliver communications, and understand website use. Information needed for those functions is processed by the relevant providers. This operational processing is separate from selling or renting customer information.

Civil investigations

We do not release customer personal information or usage information to investigators, attorneys, or agencies in a civil matter without an order from a court of competent jurisdiction. Where legally permitted, we notify the customer of a court hearing so they can contest the disclosure.

Criminal investigations and legal disclosures

We cooperate with law enforcement, while requiring an order from a court of competent jurisdiction before surrendering customer information in a criminal investigation. We may acknowledge that customer records exist and assist authorities in describing the records sought in a court order.

We do not disclose an investigation to a customer where disclosure is prohibited by law. Copyright notices and counter-notifications have the disclosure procedure described in our DMCA Policy.
